The iconic Forth Rail bridge is applying for World Heritage site status. The bridge towers 110 meters over the Firth of Forth, giving breath taking views. Folklore says it is permanently being repainted and if you look closely you can see the island disguised as a battle ship which defenders hoped would discourage U-Boats.
For this series of images we designed our own customised rigs to cope with the extreme conditions and being so high off the ground. The wind force was dramatic as well as the cold! We wanted to give an insight into what its like to work so high off the ground.
